Multicake Mix 2 400 100
Margarine/Butter 1 200 50
Whole egg 1 200 50
Water/Milk 0 100 4
Total Batter Weight 4 900
Yield: 16 cakes @ 300g

Method:

  • Mix the margarine or butter, and water, in a planetary mixer for 5minutes medium speed using a beater attachment.
  • Scale into 6 inch sandwich pans (greased and floured) at 300g
  • Bake at 180°c for 25 minutes (approx)
  • Tip from tins and cool.
  • Slice each cake into 2 slices.
  • Assemble into sponges using fresh whipped cream and jam.
  • Dust with icing sugar to serve.
