Zeelandia recognises its moral and legal responsibility to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking and will endeavor to ensure that no such activities arise within our operations; by ensuring transparency within the organisation and with our suppliers of goods and services. 

Zeelandia UK is committed to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking.

  • Our business conducts regular risk assessments to identify potential areas in our supply chains and operations where modern slavery could be a concern. 
  • Our business continued with supplier audits to ensure that our suppliers adhere to ethical labour practices, and we regularly monitor their compliance. 
  • Our business issued a Supplier Code of Conduct detailing our expectations regarding labour rights and ethical standards. 
  • Our business delivered training programs to our employees to raise awareness about modern slavery, its signs, and how to report any suspicions. 
  • Our business continued to manage robust mechanisms to protect whistleblowers within our organisation and supply chain, encouraging individuals to report concerns without fear of retaliation. 
  • Our business conducts due diligence on new suppliers to assess their adherence to ethical labour standards before entering into contracts. 
  • Our business collaborates with industry peers to share best practices and tackle modern slavery collectively. 
  • Our business reviewed specific policies addressing child labour and forced labour, including strict guidelines on age verification and working conditions. 
  • Our business regularly monitors labour conditions within our own facilities and supply chain to ensure compliance with ethical labour standards. 
  • Our business publishes an annual Modern Slavery Statement on our website that details our efforts and progress in combatting modern slavery within our organisation and supply chains. 
  • Our business is committed to continuous improvement and regularly reviews and updates its policies and practices to stay aligned with the latest developments in the fight against modern slavery. 
  • The business continues to map out our full supply chain and continue work to classify  suppliers by, risk level based on geography, industry sector, and type of labour used. 
  • We have implemented a supplier onboarding process which includes a modern slavery self-assessment questionnaire. 
  • We have assigned senior-level responsibility for the implementation and oversight of our modern slavery strategy. 
  • We report and evaluate the effectiveness of our actions. Which includes the number of training completions, audit results, number of ethical concerns raised, and resolution times. 
  • We have set an annual review cycle for our Modern Slavery Policy, Code of Conduct, and training materials to ensure they reflect evolving legislation and industry’s best practices.
