Celebrating success as essential new skills are learnt in Conflict Management in the Workplace
People-first mindset: Zeelandia UK believe developing our team is essential to our success – not optional. We take this very seriously and areas for individual growth and development are identified through initial induction programmes and as part of annual performance reviews. In the first 5 months of 2025, we have achieved over 266 hours of staff training and development, across a broad range of activity.
These are just some of the ways we support skills, knowledge and behavioural development from our Board members down to entry level graduate roles in every function.
- Internal training programmes: in-house workshops and knowledge sharing foster knowledge development, collaboration and upskilling
- On-the-job learning: Tool Box talks – short informal training sessions are run by peers, to refresh knowledge and develop behaviours through sharing real experience
- External support: we also offer professional certification such as ILM leadership training and use experts to support training initiatives such as Supervisor Management Skills (featured), relevant to each role
- Technology-enabled learning: we make use of interactive online platforms and learning tools to ensure clarity on expected behaviours in line with latest guidance and our own cultural values. We also ensure staff are kept up to speed with the advances and risks associated with the digital world. Through offering this flexibility we allow our team to learn at their own pace and to fit around other commitments
- Recognition and Reward: we regularly celebrate learning achievements through our staff newsletter and promote from within wherever possible
Finally, we encourage our entire workforce to think about Going Beyond, Every Time, constantly look for ways to improve performance as individuals, as teams and as a company.
