Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated Goods Out Warehouse Supervisor to join our warehouse and logistics department in Wigan. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate shipment of goods from our warehouse.

  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate goods out processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to prioritise shipments and meet customer delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper documentation of outgoing goods.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to create a secure working environment.
  • Utilise warehouse management systems to track shipments and optimize processes.

Job requirements

. To ensure the success of the role and the efficiency of our warehouse operations, we are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in managing warehouse department teams, including training on GMP, personal safety, and food safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in warehouse and despatch operations.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key hauliers and customer warehouse/logistics departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records of all warehouse and despatch activities.
  • Experience in controlling non-conforming stock and ensuring compliance with BRC standards.
  • Capability to provide cover for the Warehouse Manager when required.
  • Commitment to achieving on-time delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction in logistics services.
  • Proficiency in stock accuracy management, stock counting, and stock location tracking.

Education/Experience:

  • Intermediate Excel, able to user formulas and create dashboards
  • Competent computer level
  • 1 years or more working administratively
